WHO IS INVOLVED?

MANAGER

Reesby Management Limited is the Manager of the Fund. The Manager’s role is to carry out the management and operation of the Fund. This includes being responsible for dealing with investors, keeping a record of your investment Units, processing any applications and withdrawals, calculating and paying (or refunding) your tax, and managing the investment of the Fund’s assets in accordance with the Investment Policy, amongst other things.

 

Martyn Reesby

The Principal of the Fund, Martyn, has approximately 40 years’ experience in corporate and property finance. Prior to establishing Reesby & Co in 1994, he worked at Fay Richwhite & Co. for nine years sourcing finance for New Zealand corporates, property investors and property developers. The last 30 years Martyn has sourced in excess of $15 billion of finance for New Zealand corporates and property companies. Martyn holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Auckland University. He specialises in managing property finance companies which he has successfully undertaken for the last 30 years.

Tom Huang

Tom Huang (BCOM/LLB) specialises in all areas of property development work, from two lot residential subdivisions to large complex developments as well as property syndication. Tom has been involved in many significant property transactions (in excess of NZ$200m of property acquisitions, mainly for the Auckland Market) including the provision of real estate services, property and due diligence advice. Tom’s legal and accounting background enables him to give practical solutions to his clients on property finance needs by providing value added, professional and client-orientated services as well as creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for Reesby’s valuable clients.

 
 

 KEY PERSONNEL

Tom Reesby

Tom specialises in property development loans from $3 million to $20 million in the Auckland area. He has significant funding and development knowledge from his time working in the sector as a lender and developer and can assist developers in solving issues before and when they appear.

Prior to working for Spinnaker and Reesby & Co, Tom lived in Sydney working for property giants JLL and Savills.

Paul Smyth

Paul is a Chartered Accountant member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (since 1998). He began his career in Auckland as an auditor with the chartered accountancy firm Spicer & Oppenheim then spent 6.5 years in the UK working in the London financial services market. Since returning to New Zealand in 2003 he has continued his commercial experience in financial services for companies operating in both New Zealand and Australia. Paul joined Reesby & Company in June 2010.

 

Nobu Muir

Nobu has extensive experience in property development, commercial property investment and commercial law. Prior to joining Reesby & Company, Nobu provided consultancy and brokerage services to many of New Zealand's prominent property investors and developers for over 10 years. He has assisted with securing in the region of $5 billion of finance for property developments, commercial investments, and corporate restructures. Nobu holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a Major in Finance from Victoria University of Wellington.

TRUSTEE

The Trustee is Reesby Management Limited. The Trustee will hold the investments of the Fund.

The legal adviser for the Manager, the Trustee and the Fund is Chapman Tripp.
